Big band holiday concert
Greenville’s Emerald City Big Band will present its 27th annual Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16 in the St. James United Methodist Church Christian Life Ministries Center, 2000 E. Sixth St.
The band’s 22 musicians will present a program of big band instrumental holiday favorites. Local vocalists Emery Davis, RaSheeda Waddell and Ed Wheatley will join the band for some selections.
Christmas cookies, coffee and tea will be provided at no charge during intermission.
Adult donations at the door are $10; youth and students are admitted free of charge.
