East Carolina University’s baseball team will play its first home game at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, against La Salle at Greenville’s Clark-LeClair Stadium.
They also play La Salle at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, and 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26.
The Pirates entered the 2017 season with high expectations after advancing to the fourth Super Regional in program history last year. And ECU was picked first in the 2017 American Athletic Conference preseason poll.
But the team stumbled on a season-opening road trip to Oxford, Miss., losing three close games to SEC power Ole Miss.
Despite the 0-3 start, expectations remain high for the Pirates team, which returns 19 letter-winners including preseason co-Pitcher of the Year Evan Kruczynski, first baseman Bryce Harman, catcher Travis Watkins, relief pitcher Joe Ingle and sophomore outfielder Dwanya Williams-Sutton of Wilson, who was honored as a freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger.
Individual game tickets for the La Salle game are $7-10 for adults and $4-7 for youth ages 12 and under.
For individual tickets, visit the ECU Athletic Ticket Office or buy online at www.ecupirates.com/sports/2016/7/8/tickets-page.aspx
Home games this season include match-ups with Elon, Western Carolina, St. John’s, Appalachian State, Charlotte, Mercer, North Carolina, Towson, Liberty, Connecticut, UNC Wilmington, UCF, N.C. State, Tulane, Duke, Memphis and Campbell.
Season ticket packages begin at $120.
