Greenville gets in the Christmas spirit

“Southern Lights,” a Christmas celebration sponsored by the Greenville Jaycees, will be held Saturday, Dec. 10 in downtown Greenville, NC.
The annual parade begins at 5 p.m. The route is from First Street through downtown on Evans Street, around Reade Circle onto Reade Street, ending at Third Street. The parade will have about 150 entrants including Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, civic groups, high school bands and local merchants.
This year, the Christmas event will include activities from 2-8 p.m. at Five Points Plaza, Fifth and Evans streets in downtown Greenville. The festivities will include food, music, craft vendors and fun for children and adults, all to benefit Pitt County Foster Care Services.
